Milky Way - Crater Lake
A long exposure at night reveals stars and colors that our eyes simply cannot see.
Wizard Island is in the lower left, and the stars are reflected in Crater Lake.
As Morning Approaches
Crater Lake during the day is a unique shade of blue. I wanted to capture this color as dawn approached, but keep the Milky Way visible in the sky. Several exposures were combined to make this possible, and the mosquitoes were out in force.
