Wild Goose Island Sunrise
As the Going-To-The-Sun Road starts to wind it's way to the top, there's a great viewpoint looking towards Wild Goose Island in St. Mary Lake. Sunrise this morning was spectacular, no doubt in part because of all the smoke from the fires of 2012. I liked the way the island provided a counterpoint to the rhythm of shapes.
Sunrise St. Mary River
I was driving into Glacier National Park from the East entrance one morning, and as I crossed the St. Mary River, I saw that the sunrise was spectacular.
Windswept
A cold, windy morning in Glacier National Park, and this dead tree, looking like standing driftwood against the choppy waters of Lake St. Mary caught my eye. But I played with it until it looked like an oil painting.
